Guiding Leadership with Faith & Vision

Bishop Larry R. Whitfield, Sr.

Bishop Larry R. Whitfield, Sr. is a dedicated servant of God, a visionary leader, and a passionate advocate for spiritual and community development. Born in the small town of Everetts, North Carolina, he knew from an early age that his destiny extended far beyond his humble beginnings. As a young man, he relocated to Philadelphia, PA, where his journey in ministry began.
After completing his education in the Philadelphia public school system, Bishop Whitfield pursued higher learning at Temple University and later graduated from Philadelphia Technical Institute. Over the years, he combined his faith and business acumen to establish an Information Technology and Architectural Engineering firm alongside his family. His success as a saved businessman has opened doors both professionally and spiritually, allowing him to make a meaningful impact on individuals and communities worldwide.
With a heart for empowering men, Bishop Whitfield is committed to rehabilitating, strengthening, and educating them so they can better serve their families, communities, and the Kingdom of God. His passion for ministry is equally reflected in his devotion to his wife, First Lady Shirley J. Whitfield, the queen of his life. Together, they have been blessed with two sons, two daughters-in-law, one daughter, and five grandchildren. Their marriage of 55 years is a testament to God’s grace, and they are dedicated to teaching and encouraging couples on the significance of marriage and the ministry behind it.
With a profound love for his community, Bishop Whitfield believes in meeting both the spiritual and practical needs of people. His mission is rooted in Luke 14:23: “Go out unto the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” This calling has taken him beyond the U.S. borders, leading him to Africa, where he has worked extensively in Lagos, Nigeria. His efforts in remote villages resulted in the construction of two water wells, the establishment of local churches, and the witnessing of many souls receiving the Holy Ghost. His goal has always been to provide both physical sustenance and spiritual nourishment.
As a preacher, teacher, mentor, and leader, Bishop Whitfield remains committed to hearing and delivering the Word of God that will uplift and transform lives. His unwavering dedication to ministry, family, and community continues to inspire many, and his mission remains clear—to reach souls, change lives, and advance the Kingdom of God.
